Mark Finstrom serves as Chief Technology Officer for Highline Public schools, serving nearly 22,000 students in Washington State. A 20-year technology veteran, he has in-depth expertise in strategic planning and operations. Mr. Finstrom is a member of cabinet, designs and orchestrates Highline’s strategic roadmap, leads the technical team and works closely with end-users and partners. Mr. Finstrom is a nationally recognized technologist. He holds a Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certificate and is involved in several national and regional education groups. He serves as a board member for the Association of Computer Professionals in Education and a board member for the Organization for Educational Technology and Curriculum Education.
Mr. Finstrom volunteers his time to advocate for technology in education by chairing advisory boards for the Consortium of School Networking, WA K20 and Century Link CTOs. He is a contributor to education and technology publications and speaks at industry events, conferences and webinars. Mr. Finstrom is committed to equity in education, high expectations for all, and partnering with families and the community to ensure that all learners achieve their potential.
